Want to make more money from your ebooks? In this article we’ll look at three fast and easy ways in which you can increase your ebook income.

Ebooks are popular online because they offer instant information. This makes ebook-selling a great home business, and as with any business, you want to increase your profits.

Essentially, generating higher profits simply means getting your promotions in front of greater numbers of people, and using your ebooks in new ways.

Here are three easy ways.

1. Approach complementary Web sites and make bulk sales

Chances are you already know how to promote your ebooks - you’ve got a blog, are doing some advertising, and have send out press releases.

But have you considered approaching Web sites which sell complementary products? For example, if you have an ebook on dog training, any site offering dog-related products may be interested in selling your ebook. You can offer the site a special deal, selling the site 100 or so copies at a time.

2. Offer “advanced” versions of your ebooks

When you have an ebook which sells well, you have a readymade market for an advanced version of the ebook. In our dog training example, if you’re selling an ebook on obedience training, you could offer several advanced versions - show training, training for film, and so on.

Many ebook topics can be turned into courses. You could turn your dog training book into a course very easily, by using the information you already have, and by adding more information.

For example, your first lesson in the course could be on choosing the right breed of puppy, the next on buying a healthy, disease-free puppy, and so on.

Many of your clients will appreciate having information in the form of a course; it makes the information easier to use, because it’s more practical.

Ebooks - Powerful Ways to Sell Your Ebook Online

How do you sell as many copies as possible of your ebook? You need to use as many marketing tactics as possible. Here’s how to turn your ebook into a bestseller.

It’s essential that you start selling your ebook before it’s written, so you can test your idea. Although many people may be interested in your ebook’s topic, you can’t predict whether they will pay for it without investing a little time and money in market research.

You have two research options: you can create a Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign to ask people whether they’re interested in Topic X and would pay for an ebook, or you can create a blog on the topic of your ebook.

I prefer to create a blog, because the blog will get the Web site indexed in the search engines before the ebook’s ready to launch, and you’ll get free organic traffic. Creating a blog also helps while the ebook’s being written - you can discover what your readers most want to know about your topic.

Creating a blog also helps you to get partners for your ebook’s launch. You can approach other bloggers and offer them guest posts to publicize your ebook, and can enroll them as affiliates.

When your ebook is close to launch, create the ebook’s sales page, and start sending traffic to it. You can offer a free report to get people onto your mailing list, or a reduced price for the first 40 purchasers, who will all come from your mailing list.

You can send traffic to your sales page by article marketing, PPC, by writing classified ads, by writing news releases, by forum postings - and of course, by continuing to blog about your ebook’s topic.

Once your ebook’s launched, create an affiliate program for it, so others can start selling the ebook for you. You can create a private affiliate program, or you can add your ebook to the sites which sell digital products online.

Got an idea for an ebook? Start testing your idea, and if there’s a market for the ebook, start promoting it even before it’s written. The sales you make on launch day will make all your efforts worthwhile.

Write Ebooks That Sell - Start With a Simple Plan

Want to write and sell ebooks online? You can, it’s a great home business you can start right away. To ensure success, develop a simple business plan.

Your plan for your ebook business can be very short. Just answer a few simple questions. The benefit of a short plan is that you’ll put it into action, rather than procrastinating.

Here are some questions to ask yourself.

* When will I launch my first ebook?

Or, if you’re acting as an affiliate, when will I start marketing my first affiliate product?

This initial question asks you to set a deadline. Even if you’re producing your own ebook, set the deadline no longer than three months ahead, maximum, otherwise you’ll lose your initial impetus which inspired you to start your business.

* How much income do I want to make in years one and two of my business?

Set an income goal - you can’t hit a target if you don’t create the target.

* What’s my primary business model?

Business models include writing and selling your own ebooks, acting as an affiliate for others’ ebooks, and acting as a reseller of others’ ebooks.

If you’re not a writer, you can hire writers to write your ebooks; however do factor these costs into your plan.

* How much capital do I have to invest in my business?

The more capital you can invest, the faster your business will grow. However, it’s possible to start with your business with as little as $50 for a domain name and hosting.

Once you’ve answered the questions to the best of your ability, make a list of actions to take, and transform the tasks into tasks. Enter the tasks into your calendar program.

As you start working on your tasks, you can evaluate and adjust your plan. No plan is written in stone, it just provides a handy way to get perspective on your business.
