You’re a new ebook author and you want to make money – preferably a lot of money. 
Here’s the secret: you must offer a solution to a problem people have. Offer solutions, and you can make money writing and selling ebooks.
Start with yourself – what challenges have you overcome?
You’ve had challenges, and you’ve overcome them – EVERYONE HAS.
For example, perhaps you were overweight and you successfully lost weight. Or you child was bullied in school, and you put a stop to it. Or your child had allergies and you found a solution.
Problems are universal. Everyone has problems – even people who are blessed with looks, money, and opportunities galore have problems.
Problems mean pain, and people will happily pay for pain relief. So when you’re writing ebooks, you need to target PROBLEMS and SOLUTIONS.

The September 2007 issue of The Writer had a great story: “Secrets Of The Six-Figure Freelancers”. The story’s wonderful because it shows you the potential of a freelance writing career; with the development of the Web and its unlimited markets, if you can write, you can make a great income as a freelance writer.
I chuckled when I read the story because many writers think a “six figure income” is hype. Either that, or they think that a great income is reserved for copywriters, or genre novelists, or other specialist writers.
